I can’t say enough good things about 1662 Ranch and the Edens family. I’ve been buying beef from them for the past six years, and I have now purchased four half-cows from them. I’ve also purchased a hog from them, and there is absolutely no question that the quality is different, and better, than what you typically find at a grocery store.
One of the biggest reasons I buy from 1662 Ranch is that I know where my food comes from. When you buy beef from a grocery store, especially ground beef, it can be sourced from multiple animals and multiple ranches and then combined together. You really don’t know the individual history of those animals, what they were fed, or how they were raised.
With 1662 Ranch, I know the Edens family, I know the ranch, and I know how they raise their animals. I have literally seen the crops they grow and use to feed their cattle. Their cattle are raised naturally, and knowing what goes into raising these animals gives me a level of confidence in what I’m feeding my family that I simply don’t get from buying beef at a grocery store.
And you can taste the difference. The flavor and quality of their beef is noticeably better. It’s not just about buying locally, it’s about knowing the people who raised it, knowing how it was raised, and knowing where it came from.
If you care about the quality of the food you’re putting on your family’s table, I highly recommend 1662 Ranch. Supporting a local family ranch while getting some of the best beef I’ve ever eaten is a win win.
